Bert Knight, 65, of Red Bay, died Sunday, January 28, 1990, at Red Bay Hospital. He was a barber for 40 years, a member of Temple Baptist Church on Detroit, Mich., member of Red Bay American Legion Post and a veteran of WWII. Services were Tuesday, January 30, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay. The Rev. Dan Hindman officiated. Burial followed in Pilot Hill Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay directed. Survivors include on daughter, Glenda Knight of Dearborn, Mich.; two sons Bert Edward Knight of Houston, Texas And John Knight of Athens; three sisters, Pauline Turbyfill, Ann Humphries and Carolyn Palmer, all of Vina; two brothers, Bill Knight of Muscle Shoals and Bob Knight of Vina; two grandchildren . Pallbeares were Troy Barksdale, Curt Wigginton, Lowell Gober, Ralph Winchester, Paul Winchester, and David Grimes.
