BELMONT, MS – Shirley Hurt Mann, 95, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Mississippi to Howard Hurt and Mattie Crowell Hurt. She was a Headstart teacher for twenty years and a member of First Baptist Church, Belmont, MS. 

Services will be Thursday, October 17, 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Belmont, MS with Bro. Clayton Todd and Bro. Ray Burks officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, October 17, 1-3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Belmont, MS. Burial will be in Belmont Memory Gardens. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by one son, Duane Mann and wife, Debbie, of Belmont, MS and two daughters, Donna Gann and Rhonda Malone and husband, Stan, of Golden, MS; daughter-in-law, Brenda Mann of Belmont, MS; nine grandchildren, Heather Gaylor (Adam), Holley Nichols (Mark Poole), Daniel Mann (Beverly), Leigha Bennett (Kyle), Reid Gann, Jenny Farris (Dustin), Bryan Malone (Anna Grace Brock), Marlee Wooten (Cody) and Dana Burcham (Kasen); six great-grandchildren, Tripp Deaton, Manning Deaton, Andy Nichols, Eliana Mann, Andrew Bennett and Bo Burcham; one sister, Sammie Yarbrough of Columbus and special niece, Shelia Fleming of Louisville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Mann; son, Ralph Mann; son-in-law, Ric Gann; grandson, Jared Mann; brother, George Hurt and sister, Sylvia Atkinson.

Pallbearers will be Reid Gann, Daniel Mann, Bryan Malone, Kyle Bennett, Dustin Farris, Kasen Burcham, Cody Wooten and Adam Gaylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Manning Deaton, Tripp Deaton and Andy Nichols.
