BELMONT, MS – Sherry Joyce Smith Enlow, 76, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born in Georgia to Jesse and Helen Milam Smith.  She loved being with family and worked in healthcare, cleaning and sewing.  She was a member of Old Union Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 2, 2 p.m. at Old Union Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Ginn officiating.  Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery.  Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by one son, Jamie Enlow (Beckie); two daughters, Cindy Aldridge (Peanut) and Linda Enlow; six grandchildren, Chasity Adams (Jake), Frank Aldridge, Kennedy Mauldin (J.D.), Shyanna Wade (Logan), Joey Enlow, Paige Enlow and Audrey Enlow; six great-grandchildren and three sisters, Myra George, Vickie Self (Brian) and Yvonne Sharp (Benny).

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Douglas Enlow; her parents; two brothers, Roger Smith and J.D. Smith; one sister, Peggy Smith; grandson, Logan Putnman; great-granddaughter, Amethyst Wade and her father and mother-in-law, Arvin and Cleo Enlow.

Pallbearers will be Bill Bowling, Frank Aldridge, Joey Enlow, Micheal Paul Bowling, J.D. Mauldin, Tony Dawson, Peanut Aldridge, Alan Enlow and Skylar Ray. Honorary pallbearers will be Zach Aldridge, Austin Adams, Ashton Adams, D.J. Enlow Scott, Kaydence Lambert, Rowan Wade, Billy Daniels, David “Hopper” Aldridge and Eddie “Tiny” Williams.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 2, 12-2 p.m. at Old Union Baptist Church.
