Shirley F. Curry, 85, of Tuscumbia, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, January 15, 2024. Shirley was born on February 22, 1938, in Cherokee, Ala. She was married to Robert D. Curry on April 12, 1957, at Mountain Springs Baptist Church. They had a wonderful, loving marriage of 66 years. Many memories were made with children and grandchildren in their home over those years. Shirley was a hairstylist and homemaker. She was a member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Edward Jones and Lola B. Jones; and her, daughter, Charlotte D. Jones.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Robert D. Curry; son-in-law, Brett Jones; brother, Paul Jones; grandchildren, Clint Holcombe (Misty), Chad Holcombe (Courtney), and Synjon Jones (Hali); great grandchildren, Braiden Holcombe, Justus Holcombe, Jayden Smith, Calei Holcombe, Colt Holcombe, Madi Jones, Connor Jones, Damon Jones, and Issac Jones; her caretakers, Joan Thorn, April Bates, and LaPrasia Smith.
Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, at Colbert Memorial Chapel with Braiden Holcombe and Clint Holcombe officiating. Pallbearers will be Chad Holcombe, Synjon Jones, Nick Bates, Jayden Smith, Justus Holcombe, Colt Holcombe, and Connor Jones.
