VINA, AL – Kenneth David “Kenny” Hester, 70, died Sunday, July 10, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Red Bay, AL and worked as kitchen manager at Generations of Red Bay. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 13, 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Rick Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by two daughters – Jeannie Stanford (Jesse) and Melissa Sipe (Gary); five grandchildren – Nicholas Massey, Bella Massey, Sera Massey, Corey Sipe and Amber Sipe; one great-granddaughter – Amelia Bernitz; his mother – Ruth Lofton; four brothers– Jesse Hester (Charlotte), Roger Hester, Terry Hester and Steven Hester (Dana); one sister – Mary Jo Stockton (Johnny) and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Glendale Hester.
Pallbearers will be Alton Barksdale, Chuck Pate, Jesse Stanford, Jesse Hester, Johnny Stockton, Steven Hester and Terry Hester.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 13, 1-3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
