RED BAY, AL – Barbara Gail Blackburn, 64, died Friday, December 23, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Franklin County, AL to Melvin and Hessie Mitchell Humphres. She was a beautician for 46 years and was a member of Altar Baptist Church.
Services will be Tuesday, December 27, at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Jerry Humpries, Bro. Tim Deaton and Bro. Billy Turbyfill officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, J.C. Blackburn of Red Bay; two daughters-Lisa Turbyfill (Billy) and Karen Deaton (Tim) all of Red Bay; four grandchildren-Jordan Turbyfill, Bailey Turbyfill, Destiny Deaton and Ashlyn Deaton; one brother-Wade Humphres (Linda) of Red Bay; her mother-Hessie Humphres of Red Bay and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Copeland, Jeff Stephens, Jonathan Humphres, Burt Burks, Jerry Burks, June Holland, Carl Hall and Wayne Emerson.Visitation will be Monday, December 26, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
