Trannie B Black, 65, of Red Bay, died September 8, 1995, at Helen Keller Hospital, Sheffield.
He was a native of Alabama and a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. He was retired from LaRoche Chemical Company working as a solution operator for 26 years. He was a member of the Aluminum, Brick, and Glass Workers International Union Local #117.
Services were held Sunday, September 10, 1995, at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Eugene Digby, Rev. Grady Oliver, and Rev. Raymond Martin officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Creek Cemetery with Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Black, White Oak Community; daughter and son-in-law Susan and Dwain Hargett, Belgreen; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Charlotte Black, White Oak Community; four grandchildren, Chan Black, Chad Black, both of White Oak Community, Christopher Hargett, Birmingham, Melanie Hargett, Belgreen; mother, Myrtle Black, Red Bay; sister, Sylvia Bentley, White Oak Community.
He was preceded in death by infant daughter, Brenda Carolyn Black; his father, Melvin H. Black; and his sister, Grace Terry.
