Jack Mobley, 59, of Vina, died Monday, January 14, from injuries sustained in a truck accident. He was an employee of L&L Propane Gas Co. he was a member of the Atwood Baptist Church, where he served as chairmen of the board of deacons. He was a Mason with the Burleson Lodge No. 143 and an Army veteran. Services were held Wednesday, January 16, with the Rev. Bobby Stancil, the Rev. Loyd Griffus, the Rev. Tommy Whaley and the Rev. L.T. McDougal officiating. Burial followed in the Holly Springs Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Red Bay was in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Betty Fay Mobley of Vina; one daughter, Regina Scott of Vina; five sisters, Edith Osborne, Elizabeth Moomaw and Jean Hester, all of Vina, Nellie Randolph of Glen Burnie, Md., and Frances Griswold of McMinnville, Ore.; four brothers, Hubert Mobley of Lexington, Ky., Sterling Mobley of Broken arrow, Okla., Charles Mobley of Vina and John Mobley of Red Bay.
