Area residents looking for yard sale deals will likely find a bunch of them Saturday morning in Red Bay.

At least 30 homes have registered to be part of the massive yard sale event. Most participants will be staging sales in an area from McCarthy Drive west to 10th Street East, and from Hester Avenue south to 4th Avenue SE. At least one home on Hwy. 11 North is also participating. Several of the homes are holding multi-family yard sales. Shoppers planning to peruse the offerings can look for sale signs and red balloons at participating homes.

B.J. and Mike Walters plan to have a host of items for sale at their home at 718 10th Street NE. Items on their list include a Go Cart, a Frozen 6-volt Power Wheel, baby and toddler furniture, toys and clothes, plus-size boutique clothing from size 16-32, XL-4X, handmade cedar furniture, porch swing, household items and furniture, homemade preserves and jams made by Pete and Wanda Elrod, men’s clothing, hair products and more.

Sheena Johnson, meanwhile, plans to have things such as furniture (bedroom suit, baker’s rack, other miscellaneous items), kitchen items, glassware, baby boy clothes, baby items, baby bottles, toys, and women’s clothes and shoes available as part of her sale.

Official sales times start at 7 a.m., but as with any yard sale shoppers are expected to be out earlier. Saturday’s weather forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a high of 85. The morning will likely start out around 64 degrees, making the weather perfect for getting out, visiting neighbors and friends, and snapping up some deals.
