VINA, AL – Gerelene Overton, 74, died Sunday, December 25, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Russellville, Al. and was a bank branch manager. She was a member of Vina First Baptist Church.
Services will be Wednesday, December 28, at 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Al. with Bro. Ray Kirk and Bro. Steve Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in Berry Cemetery, Red Bay, Al. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are her mother – Jeanette Gober – Hodges, Al.; two sons – Andy Roberson (Shelia Thomas) Vina, Al. and Lane Roberson, Hodges, Al.; two grandchildren – Tyler Roberson (Karlie) Hodges, Al. and Amanda Hester (Josh) Red Bay, Al.; two great-grandchildren – Paige and Skyler Hester, Red Bay, Al. and two brothers – Glen Gober (Janet) and Steve Gober (Betty) all of Hodges, Al.
She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Lee Gober, her husband, Jerry Overton and a sister-in-law, Sherry Tackett.
Pallbearers will be John Gober, Ethan Pharr, Adam Pharr, Gabe Stidham, Lucas Stidham and Mason Stidham.Visitation will be Tuesday, December 27, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al.
