RED BAY, AL. – Brenda Sue Thorn, 68, died Monday, February 15, 2016 at Helen Keller Hospital. She was born in Franklin County, Al. and was a homemaker. She was a member of Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, February 17, at 3 p.m. at Burnout Cemetery, Vina, Al. with Bro. Paul Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery, Vina, Al. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are her husband of 28 years – Gene Thorn; three children – Michael Shewbart (Cindy), Steven Shewbart (Karin) and Karen Ozbirn (Scott); eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-children – Mike Thorn (Kay), Tena Jackson (Rich Wojda) and Shane Thorn (Amy); eight step-grandchildren; four brothers – Dwight Blackburn (Jeri), Charles Blackburn (Patti), Norris Blackburn and Kenny Blackburn; one sister – Leisha Inman; her mother – Dot Honeycutt and special friend – Rita Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Chris White, Nathan Gray, Jerrod Baxter, Kyle Inman, Cody Inman, Jason Ozbirn, Justin Callaway and Anthony Blackburn.
