Earl H. Alexander, 75, of Belmont, died Wednesday, Feb. 28 at his residence.
He was a native of Alabama and school administrator for 31 years. He was a member of Belmont First Baptist Church for 46 years and a32nd Degree Mason. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in World War I. He served as Mayor of Belmont for 12 years.
Services were held Thursday, Feb. 29 at Belmont First Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Maroon and Bro. Billy Credille officiating. Burial followed in the Belmont Memory Garden.
Survivors include his wife, Exie Alexander; three sons, Jack B. Alexander, Steve D. Alexander, and Dr. Nick Earl Alexander, all of Belmont; one sister, Mage A. Dobbs of Guin; six grandchildren.
