Lee Roy Emerson, 76, formerly of Vina, died Friday, Feb. 4, 1994, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, Miss.
He was a native of Alabama. He retired after 30 years as a sales representative for Stubby’s and Green Manufacturing Co. in Adrion, Mich., and was a member of the Single Springs Baptist Church. He was a former mayor of Hodges.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 6, 1994, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with the Rev. Carl Tucker officiating. Burial followed in Single Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Emerson, of Alpena, Mich.; brothers, Tom Emerson, Will Emerson, both of Hodges; sisters, May Strickland, Lillie Jernigan, both of Russellville, Lula Nichols, Ela Nichols, both of Hodges, Eva Nichols, Vina; one granddaughter; one great-grand daughter.
