Julia A. Davis Cantrell, 93, died Sunday, April 21, 1991, at Russellville Health Care Nursing Home. She was a native of Marion County, a former of resident of Hodges, a homemaker and a member of the Crestview Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Austin Miles Cantrell and was preceded in death by her son, George Gaston Cantrell. Services were held April 24 at Atkins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Akers and Rev. Dan Hindman officiating. Burial followed in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include five sons, Raymond Cantrell and G.K. Cantrell both of Hodges, Miles Cantrell of Bradbury, Texas, and Jimmy Cantrell of Muscle Shoals; one daughter, Ruby Taylor of Russellville; one brother, George Dewey Davis of Russellville; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
