L.D. Tedford Jr., 61, of Red Bay died Thursday, February 21, 1991, at Humana Hospital in Muscle Shoals. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, attended Sims Memorial Methodist Church and was employed at Piggly Wiggly for 26 years in the meat department. Services were held Sunday, February 24, At Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay, with the Rev. Dramond Young and Rev. Lon Euler officiating. Burial followed in the Red Bay City Cemetery. Survivors include his son, Dicky, Tedford of Red Bay; one daughter, Cheryl Tedford of Red Bay; six brothers, Joe Tedford of Pinson, TN., Howard Tedford, Horance Tedford, Ralph Tedford , and Roger Tedford, all of Memphis, TN., Max Ray Tedford of Norfolk, VA.; four sisters, Ruth Quient of Beaver Falls, PA., Loraine Laney of Bolivar, TN., Syble Elrod and Georgia Henderson, both of Memphis; three grandchildren.
