Alene Hastings, 79, of Red Bay died Tuesday, January 8, 1991, at Red Bay Nursing Home. She was the widow of Charles C. Hastings, a housewife, and a member of Patterson Chapel Church. Services were held Thursday, January 10, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with the Rev. Morris Mills officiating. Burial followed in Hillcrest Cemetery. Survivors include four sons, Charles Hastings, Bob Hastings, and David Hastings al of Red Bay. And Nancy Hicks of Mooreville, Ms.; three sisters, Lorene Blanton of Red Bay, Helen Shelton of Big Sandy, TN., and Frances Barnes of Tupelo, Ms.; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
