Thomas Aubrey Strickland, 87, of Russellville died Friday, January 4, 1991, at the Humana Hospital in Russellville. He was a native of Alabama and retired employee of the Alabama State Highway Department. He was a member of the Cedar Creek MB Church and a Mason of Belgreen Masonic No. 428. Services were held Sunday, January 6, at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Virgil Chism and the Rev. Eugene Digby officiating. Burial followed in the Cedar Creek Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Muriel Strickland of Russellville; six daughters, Magelene Kuykendall and Edith Back, both of Red Bay, Betty Hacker and Jo Ann Ragsdale both of Russellville, Geneva Turner of Memphis, TN., and Jenny Russell of Cypress Inn, TN.; two sisters, Orin Martin and Thelma Taylor; one brother, Harlie Strickland, all of Red Bay; 22 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
