Thomas Vernon Miller, 80, of Red Bay, died Thursday, May 3, 1990 at Burdick West Memorial Hospital in Haleyville.
He was a retired farmer and sawmiller for 50 years and a Baptist.
Services were held Saturday, May 5 at Deaton-Funeral Home chapel, Red Bay, with Revs. J.E. Jackson and Glen Smith officiating. Burial followed. in Shottsville Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife. Missouri Miller of Red Bay; two daughters, Marie Garrard of Savannah, Tenn., and Reba Pardue of Red Bay; three sons, Roy Lee Miller, Raymond Miller, and Rayburn Miller, all of Red Bay; two sisters, Vera Rushing and Lena Stark, both of Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, Travis Miller of Hampton, Va.; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Alvie Miller, Alvie Brewer, Ray Miller, James Miller, Gene Brewer and Ray Cox.
