Teddy Hester, 77, of Red Bay, died Wednesday, April 25, 1990, at VA Hospital, Tuscaloosa. He was a member of New Union Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Army. Services were held Saturday, April 28, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with the Rev. Coye Marbutt officiating. Burial followed in Red Bay City Cemetery. Survivors include brothers, Condo Hester, Oscar Hester, Archie Hester, Raymond Hester, all of Red Bay, Travis “Diddle” Hester of Vina, Porter Hester of Detroit, Mich.; sisters, Peggy Baggett, Neomi Brooks, both of Birmingham, Jean Orange, Bessie Story, Jessie Warren, all of Nashville. Pallbearers were William Robert Hester, Oscar David Hester, Billy Wayne Hester, Arlie Gene Hester, Marty Hester and Ricky Dees.
