Trumon Marion Ivy, 71, of Dennis, died Friday, July 22, 1988, at the Red Bay Hospital. He was a retired lumber company employee and a member of Old Bethel Methodist Church. He was an Army Air Corp veteran, and a member of the Belmont VFW and American Legion.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 1988, at Old Bethel Methodist Church with the Rev. Dale Blackman and the Rev. Calvin Fuller officiating. Burial was in the Old Bethel Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife Lucilly Ivy of Dennis; one daughter, Hilda Roberts of Golden; two sons, Larry Ivy of Cullman, Ala., and Jack Ivy of Belmont; his step mother, Leona Ivy of Golden; two sisters, Allie Brown of Red Bay and Ruby Westcott of Fulton; seven brothers, Tulon Ivy and Chester Ivy, both of Red Bay, Clayton Ivy and Gordon Ivy, both of Forrest City, Ark., Maynard Ivy and Harold Ivy, both of Golden, and Shelby Ivy of Fulton; and six grandchildren.
