Mrs. Gladys T. Sparkman, 79, of Golden died Monday, July 18, 1988, at her residence. She was a housewife and a Baptist. Services were Wednesday from the Deaton Chapel in Red Bay.
Officiating ministers were the Rev. John Gambill and the Rev. Leburn Orear. Burial was in the Old Burleson Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters Dewdrop Johnson and Ruth Roberts both of Golden and Ruby Rogers of Fulton; two sons Bobby Sparkman of Columbus, Ohio and Billy Sparkman of Niceville, Fla; two sisters, Martha Emerson of Hodges and Nellie Killingsworth of Monticello, Miss.; one brother, James Mimms of Red Bay; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grand-children.
